Description
Strategic Positioning & Messaging:
- Develop and own the core product positioning and messaging for Avaya's CX, CC, or UC software focusing on business outcomes delivered through AI, cloud, and digital transformation.
- Craft compelling narratives that highlight the unique value of our solutions in tandem with strategic partners like Databricks, Verint, or RingCentral delivering superior business outcomes (e.g., deeper customer insights, hyper-personalized journeys, improved agent efficiency).
- Translate complex technical features, including AI, into clear, concise, and compelling value propositions for target personas (e.g., CIO, VP of Customer Experience, Operations Leaders).
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution:
- Lead the GTM strategy and execution for new product launches and releases, ensuring alignment across Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Channels.
- Develop integrated marketing plans that drive demand generation and pipeline growth across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud hyperscaler deployments (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
- Drive the messaging for our open platform vision, demonstrating how the integration of best-of-breed partner tools maximizes flexibility and innovation.
- Explicitly integrate technology partner joint value propositions into core launch plans.
Sales & Partner Enablement:
- Create high-impact sales tools and training materials (e.g., battlecards, solution briefs, competitive guides, ROI tools, demo scripts) that empower direct sales and channel partners to effectively sell Avaya’s solutions.
- Train Avaya's direct sales and channel partners on the commercial and technical benefits of Avaya and technology partner solutions, ensuring they can articulate the "better together" story.
- Serve as a liaison between Avaya Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure marketing alignment and clear value communication.
- Act as a subject matter expert in competitive scenarios, providing guidance on how to position Avaya against key competitors in both the premise-based and cloud markets.
Thought Leadership & Customer Engagement:
- Be the expert on the buyer - their journey, pain points, and key buying criteria.
- Act as a customer-facing spokesperson and presenter for your product area and the technology partner ecosystem strategy. This includes presenting confidently in front of customers, prospects, analysts, and industry events.
- Develop content (e.g., webinars, white papers, case studies) that establishes Avaya as a leader in delivering AI-powered, integrated solutions via our open platform and best-of-breed technology partners.
AI Integration & Tooling:
- Systematically employ AI tools in your daily work (e.g., using generative AI for first-draft content, analytical AI for market landscape intelligence, or conversational AI for buyer analysis) to maximize efficiency and strategic insight.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Marketing for enterprise B2B software, preferably with experience in the CX, Contact Center (CCaaS), or UC (UCaaS) domains. 7+ years in absence of a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related technical field.
- Experience marketing integrated solutions and managing GTM strategies within a complex technology ecosystem.
- Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to large, senior-level audiences (C-suite, VPs) and the sales team with confidence and clarity.
- Demonstrated experience marketing solutions across both on-premises and cloud consumption / deployment models and a strong understanding of the hyperscaler ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio of impactful sales enablement and marketing content.
- Strong familiarity with data / AI platforms, conversational AI, or WFO / WFM solutions.
- Hands-on experience, with a strong willingness to leverage AI in daily marketing / business workflows to enhance speed, insight, or content quality. (Mandatory)
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking key product marketing metrics (e.g., adoption rates, pipeline contribution, win / loss).
