ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Applications Specialist engages in presales, architecture, design, development, and the configuration of scalable solution engagements to address enterprise-wide opportunities for Avaya customers. To be successful in this role you must be a self-starting team player designing and driving collaborative solutions across all types of voice and digital communication channels. 

 

  • Excellent English oral and written skills. 
  • Up to 25% travel may be required occasionally. 
  • Must be a United States Citizen. Ability to obtain federal security clearance preferred. 
  • Provide Security consulting services to customers and Avaya team members. 
  • Writing security deployments and reports. 
  • Provide consultation, design, configuration and support of Avaya Unified Communication solutions for Avaya customers. 
  • Work with Avaya project teams supporting Avaya customer Cloud and Premise deployments. 
  • Collaborate closely with other team members in a virtual work environment. 
  • Constantly updates technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications. 
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and lateral thinking as part of a team, or individually follows technical troubleshooting methodology. 
  • Contributes to the development of company objectives and principles to achieves goals in creative and effective ways. 
  • Shares new knowledge and lessons learned as training for other team members. 
  • Mentor others as a technical subject matter expert. 
  • Translates complex concepts and designs into simple to follow examples. 
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience with Avaya Unified Communication Solutions and Security in complex technology systems. 
  • Comfortable speaking/presenting content 
  • Detail Oriented. 
  • Time Management and Self-Management skills are expected. 
  • Effective in a virtual working environment. 
  • Able to work on multiple projects at a time 
  • Present oneself in a professional manner at all times. 
  • Avaya Communication Manager 
  • Avaya Session and System Manager 
  • Avaya Device Services 
  • Avaya Media Services 
  • Avaya Session Border Controller Enterprise 
  • Avaya Gateways
  • Avaya Call Center Elite
  • VMware knowledge required 
  • Experience with PKI
  • RHEL system hardening and remediation
  • Windows system hardening and remediation
  • SIP protocol
  • SAML/Oauth/LDAP protocols
  • Troubleshooting issues, reviewing logs, etc...
  • Familiar with automated vulnerability scanning and able to research finding
  • Understanding of basic networking principles required
  • Bash Shell, Python, Power scripting, and other 
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in either Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a technical-related field or proven work-related experience.
     

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this opportunity is from $87,600 to $118,250 + performance-related bonus + benefits.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
