About the Opportunity

Avaya is expanding our investment in this important market. This is a key position and the successful candidate will be focused on maximizing booking and revenues for Avaya’s market leading portfolio of products and services. As an Account Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the growth of your accounts. While the Sales Leader should provide support and guidance, it is critical that you display the leadership and accountability necessary to motivate and drive the performance of the extended team and ensure that Avaya customers receive a high-quality sales and service experience with win-win outcomes.

  • Sells solutions to end-user customers in assigned and new major and/or strategic accounts.
  • Maintains full accountability for assigned accounts and protects the strategic interests of Avaya and the customer by advocating for the customer and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Penetrates and grows existing assigned account(s) to broaden Avaya’s footprint beyond traditional telephony through the introduction of new solutions and applications.
  • Recommends creative and insightful solutions that align to defined customer business priorities.
  • Leads detailed account planning process across portfolio of accounts and prioritize selling activity to generate maximum revenue in accordance with the local account segmentation model.
  • Works closely with Service Team and Channel Partners to drive booking and revenues for our Swiss business.
  • Executes the opportunities through project scoping, bid response and portfolio positioning. 
  • Be based in Zurich but will be expected to travel in support of Sales opportunities across Switzerland. 
  • Maintains relationship with existing customers for repeat business.
  • Builds sales culture and sale centric atmosphere among the team members.
  • Forecasts sales accurately and provides detailed account and opportunity information.
  • Works closely with Marketing and is familiar with demand generation techniques
  • Substantial experience in competing and winning business communications deal with business lead propositions.
  • Solid solution selling experience in Unified Communications and/or Contact Centre
  • Preferably has strong knowledge of the Avaya portfolio
  • Experience with managed services and Cloud sales
  • Fluent to business level in written and oral in English and German
  • Be available to travel for business purposes across Switzerland.
  • Shows a winning attitude and is a great team worker.
  • Used to work in a distributed team
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills and experience of working in multinational and multicultural teams
  • Enthusiastic selfstarter with ability to manage resources and time to complete tasks to objectives.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
