About the Role

This position is responsible and accountable for the effective project management to implement highly complex software solutions into our clients’ systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with the internal and external clients, developing and executing project plans that embrace best practices, change management, quality management, effective communication plans, requirements management, and securing all necessary resources needed to achieve the project objectives.

About the Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, document and execute all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope management, requirements management, work breakdown schedule and timeline management, priority and dependency management, and the assignment of roles and responsibilities.
  • Develops detailed work breakdown schedules, project estimates, and resource plans that support scope.
  • Conducts and facilitates effective project meetings, including issue tracking, status reports, and executive communications.
  • Ensures problems are effectively escalated and crisis management activated, as needed.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and knowledge management to the project team and stakeholders and ensures customer satisfaction through quality and timely product delivery.
  • Participate in and supervising each stage of the project and ensure it stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines and quality standards by tracking milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
  • Promotes change, process, and best practices to both the customer and technical team members, providing training for the project management discipline.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required.

 

About the Requirements

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in project management and software development.
  • Ability to manage multiple project phases, from initial proposal, project definition, execution, and final delivery.
  • Must have good knowledge of project controls including scheduling, budgeting, progress monitoring and forecasting
  • Working experience with MS Project and MS Visio.
  • Experience working with Agile teams.

  • Ability to analyze requirements to ensure scope is being met on projects
  • Capable of understanding technical problems, their impact and possible solutions.
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions, analyze facts to understand a problem or topic thoroughly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (client-facing and internal)
  • Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills. Attention to detail and multitasking skills

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Development environment is composed of both agile tools like Jira and traditional project management software, such as MS Project and other PPM tools.
  • Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by local management and may include support to 3rd party products and occasionally on-site support.
  • Work is performed almost 100% remotely, with occasional (usually minimal) travel required.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications such as PMP are considered a plus.

Experience

3 years experience at the Engineer Two level or 5 – 8 years total experience
