About the Responsibilities

You are expected to look after all accounting and tax matters for Japan and take responsibility for moderately complex activities independently in the future. 
Your role will mainly include:
-    Preparing unaudited year-end statutory financial statements with Controller and preparing tax returns as well as the supplemental documents with Controller and tax service agent. 
-    Revenue accounting, balance sheet reconciliation and cash forecast report preparation or other reports that comply with external and internal control policy.
-    The tax package submission to global corporate tax team including quarterly tax provision computation, annual true-up after filing the tax returns and other tax information will also be a key work for you. 
-    Answering to the tax auditors or other internal / external auditors with Controller.
You’ll also need to handle the add-hoc works flexibly that tend to come up in the small organization.

About the Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting / tax field with basic understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent. US CPA, Tax Accountant or the prospective holder who are currently studying for such exams is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Japanese Tax Law (e.g. Consumption tax, Withholding tax and Corporate taxes) is required
  • Native in Japanese language, Business level in English, with good written communication and verbal communication
  • SAP experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • A methodical approach to tasks with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational skills with an ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Professional and ethical
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated with a drive for results
  • Working experience for the foreign affiliated company is plus
