Details and Responsibilities

Position Details and Responsibilities:

  • Define and document high level system design and requirements for solutions for use by software engineering teams.
  • Participate in the development of project schedules and estimates.
  • Act as a point of contact for implementation teams on issues concerning scope and architecture.
  • Identify and prototype new product opportunities.
  • Help define and track progress metrics for the team.

  • You are a recognized thought leader within the engineering community.
  • You are highly skilled in planning, design, and support of best in class software, development processes and software development tools.
  • You are confident and effective in working with technical and product leaders across the business.
  • You excel at understanding the “big picture” for your product and translating that into action.
  • You are experienced at working with teams around the world.
  • You understand other disciplines and know how they affect your own discipline and vice versa.
  • You produce great quality work within aggressive timeframes.
  • You are a team player who enthusiastically learns/tries new things.
  • You have flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment with frequently changing opportunities.
  • You love to work on multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate well with all stakeholders.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 12+ years industry related experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • You can work from an Avaya location.  Virtual Office is not authorized for this position.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

  • BS or MS in Computer Science
  • Experience in Systems Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good problem solving abilities
  • Passion to excel!
