ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Develops, supports, and tests Operating System Software for both new and ongoing hardware design programs. Acts as a key contributor in a more complex-critical environment; may coordinate activities of others and/or the team. Must have a proven ability to define software architecture of complete solution and work to completed design ( boot, application, and embedded ) . A key expectation of this individual will be that they have strong design documentation skills. There will be the opportunity work hybrid when not required onsite but as onsite work in lab will be required, applicants must be in commutable distance to our Thornton CO location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Platform Development which includes and not limited to RHEL, VMWARE, Cloud Platforms such as AZURE, AWS and GCP
- Latest RHEL OS Adoption and customizations for Product Application adoption
- VMWARE ESXI Customization and Certification for various hardware profiles
- Delivery of Service Packs, Security fixes through RHEL Streams and VMware’s VMSAs
- Implementation and adoption of latest tools and technologies in-line with OS requirements for OS platforms adopted by Avaya
- Experience automating software deployments and following a continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) model
ABOUT YOU
- Good Linux knowledge
- Good in scripting like bash, python, shell etc.
- Good knowledge of virtualization (preferred VMware) and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Device drivers
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Right attitude towards work (self-learner, takes initiative, good team player).
- Desire to deliver high quality product using various debugging, automation, static analysis, code coverage tools.
- Good to have Skills which will be added advantage in execution of responsibilities
- Exposure of cloud-based platforms supporting IaaS and PaaS.
- Telephony background
- Experience in C\C++ with exposure to multi-threading, object-oriented programing, State machine/event driven etc.
- Experience with KVM, Linux Kernel Development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this opportunity is from $107,400 to $145,000 + performance-related bonus + benefits
This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
