About the Opportunity

As a leader of Avaya One Cloud efforts, you will play a key role in ensuring trust and security are core to our product. This will be a hands-on position as we mature our security efforts, and you will be responsible for improving and automating our compliance program. As a subject matter specialist, you will develop roadmap initiatives based on customer needs (ISO, GDPR, SOC2 etc.) and drive them through readiness and gap assessments, control implementation, and internal/third-party audits. You will respond to questionnaires, emails, conduct research, lead calls, and connect with internal/external partners using explicit technical details and professionalism. You will build knowledge by creating diagrams or necessary artifacts including policies, standards, and procedures, and surface work to build on areas that need improvement. You will help secure the organization by providing operational support that includes the response to data exposure incidents.


To be successful in this role, you will create opportunities to empower others by sharing information, building relationships, and collaborating across all aspects of security, sales, legal, and engineering while adhering to Avaya’s Corporate Security guidelines.

About the Responsibilities

About the Requirements


  • 10+ years of compliance experience
  • Built and managed a compliance program in a cloud environment and managed customer audits
  • Program management experience and directly worked with customers, auditors, and third-parties vendors


  • In-depth knowledge of control frameworks, possess a general understanding of underlying infrastructure architecture, including server & network infrastructure, security infrastructure (firewalls, IPS, WAF, etc.), and cloud computing.
  • Ability to be hands-on and possesses knowledge of common security and privacy frameworks like FedRAMP, CJIS, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.
  • Desired but not required Security certifications include those such as CISSP, CRISC, AWS SCS, etc.
  • Familiarity with attack frameworks and mitigation


  • Opportunity to work flexibly, approximate percentage of travel required is 10%


Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
