ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Change Management Senior Associate ensures that changes to production platforms are recorded and then evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled manner for Avaya. The change control focus for this position will be towards any change to Customer facing platforms supported by Avaya.

The Change Analyst works with all Avaya organizations and 3rd party service providers to ensure that ‘best in class’ services are provided to Avaya customers. Ensures that change control procedures are standardized and aligned with industry best practice and the ITIL framework.

A plus for this position would be experience with Cloud Change Management, which is a process that facilitates faster change processes, shifting more from change control to change enablement and adjusting change authority perspectives.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

May have any of the following responsibilities: ensures day-to-day operational support with Avaya corporate policy while meeting the organizations’ s expectations; establishing, monitoring and publishing service level metrics and managing operational escalations that fall within their boundaries; monitors change & project status, prepares activity and progress reports, and identifies and resolves problems which may impact the change & project results; consults with business area management regarding application alternatives, security, software usage, capacity planning, training, recovery and backup procedures; provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on client questions.

Typically requires 3 - 6 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. This job does not have supervisory responsibility.

Change Analyst is the person who is specialized in preparing change, so they are seamless.

  • Seamless to the Change Requestor
    • The Change Analyst minimizes Admin Work to set the Tech Teams free
    • The Change Analyst pro-actively provides guidance to the Requestor as to all the things they should be thinking about, sharing template plans, template communication messages etc.
    • The Change Analyst understands and applies the Change Management process
      • They know what CM (Change Management) Process to follow (Normal, Standard, Executive, Emergency or 3P)
      • They understand what it takes to follow a specific process (Examples: only well-proven CRs are eligible for the Standard Process, only CRs were an IT Executive explicitly takes accountability for defect-free Change are eligible to the Executive Process)
      • They understand the various sequences.
    • The Change Analyst understands the Change Management technology
      • They are best positioned to document CRs promptly/efficiently with quality
      • They understand how the CM technology works (HPSM/SNOW/Other).
    • Seamless to the Business
      • The Change Analyst is familiar with Dos and Don’ts when it comes to change management. They know the pitfalls to avoid. They are intimately familiar with the vertical organization they support (Application layer, Network, Servers etc.)

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

· Typically requires 3 - 6 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. This job does not have supervisory responsibility.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

· A plus for this position would be experience with Cloud Change Management, which is a process that facilitates faster change processes, shifting more from change control to change enablement and adjusting change authority perspectives.

· Process orientated person

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

· Full time position which can be on a rotating scheduled between 6:30AM IST and 8:30PM IST , there’s an opportunity to work flexibly and partially remotely after 6 months to a year on the position

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

· ITIL Foundation certification V4

· Change Management Foundation
