This role is an individual contributor with Avaya’s Sales Business Unit, for consulting, positioning, and selling Avaya Alliances solutions to clients via both direct and our well-established channel ecosystem. As an Alliance Sales Specialist, you will be tasked with caring for some of Avaya’s largest opportunities while also helping to build our presence and Alliances growth in the assigned geography. A successful Alliance Sales Specialist will be comfortable selling into the executive suite, fluent with CC, UC cloud solutions, Services terminology and value propositions, and will be excellent at building and managing relationships between various teams, including Regional Sales teams, Partners Sales teams, Avaya Alliances counterparts, and our prospects and customers.


  • Owns the Alliances business in their region end to end, working as the first point of commercial contact with customers and prospects.
  • Finds alliances opportunities where no other is seeing today, including new verticals, new market segments, new geographies and new solutions that haven’t been focus before.
  • Responsible of account planning, collaborating closely with other roles within the sales organization, like Regional Sales Leaders, Account Managers, Partners ecosystem, Pre-Sales Engineers, as well as collaborating with Marketing, Sales Enablement and Legal teams.
  • Establish close relationship with its counterpart at Alliances side, executing shared sales plans together.
  • Manage the introduction of emerging Alliances in their region.
  • Collaborate closely for synergy with its peers within the Alliances Global Organization, including North America, Europe, and Asia teams.
  • Facilitate and collaborate on Marketing and Sales Enablement activities.
  • Able to perform personalized demos to prospects, including the complete Alliances portfolio and its Avaya related solutions.
  • Perform live presentations on various Avaya and industry events, as well as able to conduct interviews with local Press and Analysts.



  • Proven experience selling technology solutions in B2B relationships, including UC, CC, CCaaS, CPaaS, Video, business continuity, and management applications.
  • Successful history of selling cloud and professional services needed to implement and care for these solutions.



  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • English language: mid to advance level, able to conduct presentations and handle fluent conversations.
  • Spanish mid level
  • Knowledge of Industry leading Workforce Optimization and Contact Center solutions is a plus.



  • Work is Office based, but working from Virtual Office or from ‘the road’ is expected
  • Travel 10-20% (after pandemic); predominantly in-region with occasional trips for corporate events



  • Bachelors Degree in an IT discipline, Communications, or Business is preferred · Industry Certifications preferred, including Avaya courseware, CompTIA, CCNA or Lean Six Sigma
