Short Description
  • Create compelling messages that reinforce the Avaya strategy and value, and drive results. Maintain a consistent voice aligned with our brand and storytelling in writing and editing for our sales, partner and customer audiences. Take into account not only the immediate content, but also how it connects with the messages that came before and after to support the creation of compelling end-to-end content experiences.
  • Partner within all areas of marketing, product and operations teams, as well as other internal business stakeholders. Edit materials submitted from across teams to communicate to the field, to ensure clear, concise messaging and calls to action.
  • Create and edit content and associated news pages for biweekly Sales/Partner/Disty Newsletters across all 10 versions.
  • Own the Quarterly Financials Comms package for the field—a coordinated set of resources that help our sales and partner associates understand and share the key points of our financial results as relevant to our partner and customer audiences.
  • Manage the content on the comms and corporate pages of the Avaya Sales and Partner portal, and consult on portal content structure to align to our messaging objectives.
  • 5+ years in a corporate brand and marketing-focused writing environment.
  • BA or MA in English, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Exceptional strategic, technical and tactical writing abilities. Diverse portfolio of work to demonstrate authored and edited content for multiple formats. (Writing samples required).
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills, along with effective relationship, teamwork and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with associates at all levels in the organization.
  • Can take complex, technical points and translate them into simple, clear messages that can be broadly understood by a wide audience of readers with varying levels of expertise.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm in tackling new challenges, learning new skills, and pitching in where needed.
