ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We need a dynamic communicator who is a flexible team player to help take our communications and engagement plans to the next level. This key member of our Global Strategic and Integrated Communications team will work closely with teams across Avaya to develop messaging and content, and manage the channels, to drive corporate priorities across audiences. You’ll have a particular focus on our sales and partner community, planning and executing communications that ensure they have the tools they need to support our customers. To be successful in this role you will bring proven written and verbal communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable in adapting plans and activities in real-time to meet business needs.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Drive an aligned marketing strategy and narrative across multiple teams through field communications to expand Avaya’s global footprint and generate customer demand.
  • Write, edit, and produce global sales and partner newsletters aligned to corporate messaging and priorities to engage and enable field and partner associates.
  • Develop, edit, and publish news articles regarding Avaya programs, solutions, offers, awards, and sales tools.
  • Develop and manage new ideas and features to improve field and reseller communications, strategy, and process.
  • Coordinate and manage automation process and other administrative tasks for emails, webinars, contacts, and results.
  • Work cross-functionally with solutions marketing, field marketing, engineering, analyst relations, and events teams to deliver critical announcements to field and reseller associates.
  • In addition, you’ll learn our back-end communications tools and processes and manage reporting results to identify areas of continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of communications industry and cloud solutions preferred, including customers and partner ecosystem
  • Experience working with internal and external executives and confidential information.
  • Strong project management experience. Ability to manage multiple communication projects simultaneously and drive strong work-back plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable working in content management systems.

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to meet planned deadlines while also accommodating late-breaking projects.
  • Cross-group collaboration skills and ability to drive coordination across all levels and stakeholders.
  • Passionate storyteller with excellent content-generation skills. Able to cut through complexity for concise, action-oriented messages.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • Prefer BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing or Communications and 6+ years relevant industry experience
