Avaya is seeking an experienced Named Account Manager with responsibility for all sales activity and pipeline development within defined enterprise verticals. This resource will focus on engaging existing Avaya accounts to ‘defend, grow and innovate’ across our large incumbent installed base as well as being highly proactive in profiling, prospecting, and winning new logo customer opportunities to drive sales growth, market share and brand awareness. Working collaboratively with internal ‘virtual teams’ and Avaya’s partner community is essential to success with excellent interpersonal, relationship building and presentation skills a must.

The purpose of the Named Account Manager is to grow revenue and develop new revenue streams.  You will lead virtual teams coordinating resource across the business and in partnership with channels & alliances to create and successfully execute strategic account plans which grow revenue, acquire net new logos, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.  


The main and critical success measurement for this role is to achieve annual assigned quota in product solutions, professional services, and recurring revenue, which can be sold as either on premise, hybrid, or cloud.


  • To sell the portfolio of Avaya products to end-user customers in assigned accounts
  • Maintains full accountability for assigned accounts and serves as customer's trusted advisor and advocate, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and protecting the interests of both the customer and Avaya
  • Maximizes opportunities by driving the customer planning process, leading virtual account teams in building strategies that deliver balanced growth, continued account penetration, and customer satisfaction, and developing forecasts based on short- and longer-term growth
  • Maintains long term strategic partnerships at the executive level by ensuring that key executives clearly understand how Avaya solutions meet their business needs
  • Serves as key client contact for all customers and introduces specialists and/or Partners based on strategic sales activities
  • Conduct short- and long-term strategic account planning to enhance the quality of the sales pipeline, accelerate and maximize revenue generation and, as a trusted advisor, improve the customer buying experience
  • Demonstratable track record of success in new business selling
  • Develop, present and obtain approval in internal business cases at finance and executive level.
  • Proven experience in complex consultative sales cycles
  • Forecast accuracy and CRM data management
  • Build strong relationships with channel & alliance partners, and execute joint sales campaigns.


  • Previous experience & knowledge (essential & desirable)
  • 5+ years sales management experience within technology industry.
  • Be a "High Energy", results-oriented achiever and a team player willing to work in a demanding and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in Sales, specifically software and cloud solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills: produce materials, deliver presentations, and perform general education.
  • Ability to represent the company at senior executive levels.
  • Able to develop proposals and manage the sales cycle with minimum supervision while providing regular updated on progress and challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree and Post/Master/MBA in related areas is a plus.
  • Fluency in English
