Description

As an Avaya Field Marketing Manager, strong technology acumen and strategic planning coupled with quick execution are required to succeed. You also must have a deep understanding of markets and buyers to plan, organize, and execute programs that generate opportunities within Avaya’s mid-market and enterprise  segments.  You will be the strategic marketing leader for the Avaya’s west region aligned with the sales leaders in developing a marketing plan that ties to the Avaya’s sales plan.  You will liaise across all marketing functions and the business to develop and deliver customized programs for your region.  You will ensure that the sales organization is knowledgeable and supporting all marketing campaigns and promoting new products in the market.  Working in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects, your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing target account strategies and pipeline acceleration programs
  • Leading the execution of marketing tactics designed to increase awareness and familiarity with the Avaya brand in local business communities  and identify opportunities within Western Region
  • Employ Account Based Marketing best practices to help further penetrate global accounts, where appropriate
  • Evaluating  the market opportunity by category, industry and segment and creating marketing programs that align with the opportunity and sales plan
  • Educating the sales team regarding marketing activities
  • Executing marketing initiatives that deliver 10% sourced opportunities and 70% influenced opportunities
  • Defining and driving customer retention, limiting customer attrition and improving NPS values
  • Partner with senior Sales leaders and senior marketing leaders to help set the regional marketing strategy
  • Provide feedback to Corporate resources about what is working and not working with the marketing efforts that reach the field.
  • Provide recommendations about budget and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop localized marketing assets such as success stories, case studies and testimonials that can be leveraged to drive demand.
  • Help sales leaders drive corporate sales initiatives. Localize corporate initiatives to maximize effectiveness for assigned markets/geography.
  • Measure  effectiveness of all marketing activites with appropriate metrics and making necessary adjustments to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • College degree
  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • At least 4 years of Field marketing experience
  • Sales experience a plus
  • 25% travel
