This role can be worked remotely but applicants must already be located in the U.S. or Canada and roles are not eligible for sponsorship.  We need a dynamic, confident communicator, change agent, and flexible team player to help take our communications and engagement plans to the next level. This key member of our Global Communications team will work closely with teams across Avaya to develop compelling messaging and content aligned to corporate priorities, then manage the channels to drive action-oriented communications across audiences. You’ll have a particular focus on our sales and partner community, planning and executing communications that ensure the field has the information and tools they need to support our customers.

To be successful in this role you will bring proven communication skills and a record of exceeding expectations in delivering to plans with quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable working across contacts at all levels, internally and externally, in driving programs and activities that help us achieve business objectives.

In this role, you will:

•    Lead a multi-channel Sales and Partner Communications Program to drive an aligned communications strategy and narrative across internal teams, to support customer success and expand Avaya’s global footprint. 
•    Manage communications projects and plans for ongoing programs and specific communications events and needs.
•    Work cross-functionally within marketing, and across solutions and technology, operations, IT teams and others to deliver critical announcements to field, reseller associates and related audiences as appropriate. 
•    Write, edit, and publish news items that engage and enable sales and partner associates regarding Avaya programs, solutions, offers, promotions, awards, and sales tools. 
•    In addition, you’ll learn our back-end communications tools and processes and manage reporting results to identify and act on areas for improvement.




•    Understanding of business communications industry and cloud solutions preferred.
•    Proven success in managing multiple communications projects simultaneously and driving strong work-back plans.



•    Passionate storyteller with superior content-generation skills. Able to cut through complexity for compelling, concise, action-oriented messages.
•    Cross-group collaboration skills and ability to drive coordination across all levels and stakeholders.
•    Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented. You can juggle across projects and inputs to deliver on planned deadlines while also accommodating late-breaking needs.   
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable working in content management systems.

•    Experience with Oracle and/or Eloqua can be helpful.

•    Prefer BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing or Communications and 7+ years of experience in a relevant industry.


7 - 10 Years of Experience


(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $115,600.00 + bonus + benefits.
•    Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
