ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Vertical Solutions Marketing Manager to drive marketing activities across the Healthcare sector for both providers and payers.  This is a full time position with standard working hours and the ability to work remotely.  Applicants must be located within the United States and this role is not eligible for sponsorship.  20% travel will be required.  You will be responsible for solution messaging and positioning, thought leadership, and solutions enablement for the above vertical, targeting global enterprise and partner segments.  Working in conjunction with a large global cross-functional team across marketing (brand, lead generation, PR, web, event, social, creative, etc.), solutions marketing and the global sales organization, you will help execute the global go-to-market strategy for key Enterprise verticals.
 

For this role, you must be both a creative and quantitative thinker.  This person should also have a strong understanding of cloud, contact center, UC and collaboration solutions including digital, artificial intelligence and analytics. 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, understand and verify trends, requirements and opportunities that are top of mind in this area, and align this to how Avaya can assist in terms of addressing these trends, requirements and opportunities. 
  • Define the target market and the persona of key decision makers and influencers (CEO/CMO/CIO/CTO, Line Decision Maker) in these industries, with a special focus on executive audiences.
  • Define and develop industry relevant positioning and messaging to position and promote Avaya thought leadership, relevance, and propositions, across various buyer personas, in order to build relationships, expand market share, and generate value-add business.  This includes developing compelling assets such as presentations, demo storyboards, thought leadership assets such as videos, e-books, research, blogs, webinars, and more
  • Help develop a core team of active, recognized, respected, ‘on-message’ CX thought leaders in market, support sales win high value, complex and highly competitive deals, and promote Avaya thought leadership and relevance with customers, media, analysts, consultants, etc. 
  • Work with solutions enablement to ensure sales and partners are able to articulate the messaging and positioning, in order to build relationships, engage the customer and identify opportunities for further development. This includes developing sales and partner enablement material such as training, playbooks, guides, sales tools and more.
  • Work with creative services, digital services, and other teams to develop messaging and positioning on Avaya.com. and create customer facing collateral to support integrated marketing campaigns. 
  • Work with events and briefing teams to develop storyboards and messaging that can be delivered at industry events, Avaya events, in briefing centers, on webinars, and many more.
  • Work with the coms and influencer teams to ensure vertical messaging is prevalent in all outward communication including press releases, media and influencer briefings, social campaigns, editorial submissions, analyst report submissions, and more.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

  • EXPERIENCE
     

  • Solutions Marketing experience in CX and cloud software (10-15+ years) – industry background in cloud, CX and contact center preferred 
  • Experience in vertical marketing, preferably Healthcare, with in-depth understanding of the market, the requirements for the customers and the technology enabling them.
  • Experience in positioning solutions to both technical and business buyers, and who is used to working closely with sales and partners.
  • Experience of working closely with sales, who’s known as an expert in understanding the market and the technology.

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
     

  • A creative flair for written, oral and visual storytelling to enhance the thought leadership, with messaging mastery and a unique ability to formulate and organize high-level ideas and concepts into a simple structure, benefits & customer value. Solid writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of marketing: pitches, presentations, persuasion, modern media - including social and key content distribution channels.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams in a matrix, global organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to thrive in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
 

  • BS / BA in marketing, communications or relevant experience
