ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Sales Compensation Manger you will be part of the Sales Compensation Administration team within the Revenue Office. In this role you will support Avaya’s strategic business objectives by administering the end-to-end sales compensation processes to ensure accurate monthly commission payments to the Global sales organization. We are looking for an individual with positive attitude, who is detail-oriented, and accuracy is high priority. The individual must be able to effectively work with critical timelines and multiple priorities.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible for the implementation of the Avaya Sales Incentive Plan and Policies, day to day administration of processes and maintenance of sales compensation tool.
•    Have a clear understanding of the Plan, Policies and guidelines and be able to interpret, communicate and educate the Sales Participants and other parties 
•    Loads and maintains the required participant data for the new fiscal year plan in the sales compensation system
•    Ensure timely routing of Sales Compensation Condition Sheets and acceptance of the yearly comp plans and policy
•    Provide Sales Comp Plan participants with training on new sales incentive plans, system access, timely responses on crediting or payment disputes and inquires
•    Calculates/verifies the monthly business results and commission payments using the automated Sales Compensation Tool (Xactly), ensuring that payments are processed with accuracy and timely manner for each incumbent
•    Monitors performance and validates outliers with Sales Operations 
•    Ensures the Plan and Policy is administered in compliance with all SOX requirements
•    Performs regular data validation, cause analysis and reconciliation of bookings between ADW, SAP and Xactly to ensure accuracy of commission payouts
•    Researches inquiries, disputes or issues and compiles background and facts needed to submit cases to the review board
•    Processes manual correction and adjustments after proper validation and approvals
•    Collaborates with Sales Operations, Sales Managers, HR to ensure accurate sales compensation payments for new hires, transfers, terminations for assignments, quota allocation to ensure accurate and timely payments
•    Participates and supports ad hoc projects or requests such as testing of changes to the Software or Plan attributes in the tool, commission impact analysis, process improvements, etc.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation administration, sales operations, finance, or from an analytical or data administration role
•    Xactly commission system experience is a plus but not required

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

•    Strong communication and customer service skills
•    Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direction to meet critical and tight timelines
•    Demonstrate solid analytical skills to track performance, validate large data and perform commission calculations
•    Be resourceful and seek out to get data from various systems or other teams and analyze to help in informed decision making
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups)
•    Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy
•    Be collaborative with partner teams - Sales Operations, Busines Operations, HR, Finance

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

•    This role will be full time and will have to meet critical timelines to deliver for payroll. Could  be remote or in an Avaya Office.
