Short Description

Whitebox Tester - SIP

The Innovation India team in Pune is seeking a senior white box test engineering profile to work on Mobile Bonded Network product. The Mobile Bonded Network product is a solution addressing toll-free service shortcomings. The QA test Engineer will report to QA Mananger.

The team is looking for a strong and customer focused QA engineer with extensive software and test engineering skills as mentioned below.

Role Summary:

  • Understand the product requirement, envision stakeholder requirements to transform the requirements to Use cases.
  • Good at Linux and Shell  / Python Scripting
  • Write Solution test plans and execute test plans
  • Setup lab infrastructure to simulate multiple test configurations
  • Perform end to end integration and solution testing of the product
  • Automation experience is added advantage.

Experience & Key Competencies required:

  • 6 to 9 years of intensive experience in Understanding of Unified Communication and contact center applications.
  • Experience and understanding of protocols: SIP, RTP, MRCP
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting experience in Linux based products
  •  SIPp scriptING
  • Knowledge of SIP RFC 3261 (Protocol testing knowledge)
    • Understanding of SIP sessions
    • Understanding of SIP messages
    • Understanding of SIP headers
  • Good knowledge of Signaling and Media
  • Working knowledge of REST based APIs
  • Working knowledge on Border Controllers
  • Working knowledge with Speech Servers, Nuance knowledge could be added advantage.
  • Candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills for understanding requirement documentation and user presentation
  • Must be flexible, and able to work independently.

Day to day activities:

  • You will involve yourself in Design discussion to have sound understanding of Use cases to be written
  • Write, review Test plans,
  • Own module testing and maintain quality for the module
  • Write SIPp, Python scripts wherever required.
  • With respect to problem solving you should be able to take calculated decisions.
  • Support teammates wherever required and work in collaboration.
  • Proactively adopt and implement changes with module / product.
  • Draft and project testing status,  update SV dashboard.

 

Key skills:

Linux, SIP, SIPp scripts, Python scripting.

Essential:

  • Linux and strong troubleshooting skills
  • SIP, networking. RTP, SRTP.
  • SIPp and Python scripts.
  • General Telecom knowledge such as functioning of Unified Communication and  Contact Center.

 

The following skills/knowledge will be viewed as advantage:

  • Experience on
    • IMS Core,
    • FreeSWITCH
    • Kazoo, Kamailio
  • SIP certification
