About the opportunity


The Solutions and Technologies (S&T) group is looking for an outstanding Engineering leader who can leverage their expertise and product vision to help lead and grow our AXP team responsible for a service platform supporting real-time communication signaling in our cloud Contact Center as a Service product. You’ll be part of growing Avaya’s CCaaS market leadership as we provide cutting-edge, cloud Contact Center SaaS solutions. In this leadership role you’ll be responsible for getting the best results from your team and delivering customer value incrementally as you lead a team of engineers of all disciplines and take ownership of features from inception through to field support. You’ll partner with business, product and technology teams to drive continuous improvement in cross-functional development processes, and you’ll have accountability for standards as well as delivery and support of applications in our suite of cloud applications. •    You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of a product development team of a cloud-native service
•    A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing geographically distributed software engineering teams, with responsibilities for hiring, performance management, and career coaching
•    You have knowledge of cloud computing and security best practices and keep up with software industry trends and innovation
•    You are practiced in the agile software development cycle; Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence), or similar tools
•    You have proficiency in documenting process and monitoring performance metrics
•    You are accountable for the quality and timeliness of your deliverables, and those of your team
