Avaya is looking for a Lead performance engineer with solid exposure to performance test systems in hybrid and cloud deployments, for it’s Contact Center Business Unit, which develops products and solutions for our Fortune 500 customers.

As a Performance Engineer, you will be expected to design & develop/modify Performance scenarios (preferably with automation), that test the grit of our products for robustness, stability, and scale in our Cloud environments. An engineer in this role will typically bring his skills and art to the table in ensuring successful and rapid automation capabilities to ensure our products meet customer requirements and can stand up to the high-quality bar that we have set for ourselves and our customers.

•    Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability for large scale products running in cloud.
•    Work with developer/test team members to develop performance test framework, strategies, plans and test cases.
•    Defining and implementing best practices for performance engineering of large-scale products running in cloud and hybrid cloud deployments.
•    Develop automated test scenarios and environments for performance testing.
•    Create load scripts for key flows, construct complex workloads and data shapes to expose potential bottlenecks.
•    Analyze root causes of performance issues, identify bottlenecks and provide corrective actions.
•    Analyze test results and coordinate with developers for bug fixes.
•    Generate test summary reports for management review.





•    5-10+ years of relevant experience 




Key Skills:

•    Google Cloud Platform (GCP), REST APIs, JMeter, Bash/Shell Scripting, Linux, SQL, Selenium, CI/CD,  Kubernetes / Docker, TestNG / SIPp, Node JS
Required Skills:
•    Must have 5 to 6 years of experience in performance / load testing.
•    Experience with developing performance frameworks for web-based applications (SaaS experience preferred).
•    Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
•    Experience with traffic generation using REST APIs
•    Experience in Contact Center/Unified communication domain preferred
•    Experience with load testing tools, profiling tools and regression testing
•    Experience with cloud and virtualization, operations, and automation
•    Must have experience in writing scripts like Bash/Shell or others
•    Hands-on experience in Cloud, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.
•    Thorough knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
•    Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GIT is a huge plus.
•    Able to self-learn new tools and technologies
•    Good to have a background/exposure to Cloud telemetry – Monitoring, Observability tools (eg. Datadog or equivalent)
•    Knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBC), will be an additional asset
•    Possess a Solution mindset
•    Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
•    Strong communication and presentation skills




•    This is a full-time role with the expectation that the person will be available in the office in accordance with the guidelines set by HR.




•    B.E / B. Tech/ M. Tech / MCA in computer science or related engineering field


10 - 15 Years of Experience


Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Advance Degree preferred
