Team:  Avaya Technology and Consulting (ATAC) - Pre-Sales Design and Solutions Team, Sales Engineering Team.

Job Description:

ATAC Design and Solutions Team is Technical Presales Team and has multiple roles within pre-sales that supports Avaya internal Technical Presales, Account Managers and selected business partners. Acting as a part of this team, the responsibility is to provide support on solution designing and Solution consultation, creation of Sales Quotations using A1S/ASD/SAP, Supporting RFP/RFI, Customer Solution Demos and Channel Enablement, along with other related Sales Support activities, within the established Service Level Objectives (SLO).

This opening is within ATAC Design Team for “Presales Software Engineer”, who is Technical and comes with a good understanding of customer needs in Software domain and has a good Hands-On experience with implementation of various Software Solutions, which includes Java Script, HTML5, RESTful API, and is very comfortable with Java. The candidate should also have good programming skills which can be useful in tweaking and putting forward recommendation for enhancement of Avaya Solutions, in-order to meet customer requirements.

Selected candidate is expected to work with our Customers and collaborate with Presales/Business Partner Teams to better understand how Avaya’s Solutions/Services could be positioned and meet customer business needs, and demonstrate our Solutions, to deliver a winning customer experience. The selected candidate would also be working in our Lab Environment to setup customer scenarios and Use-cases. Going forward, the selected candidate would also be enabling and training our Sales Engineers/Business Partners on giving customer Demos in various geographies.  

This position provides the primary interface between the Company, Customer, Sales Engineering, Channels/Business Partners, and Product Management, as and when needed.

Required Skills: 

• Hands-On experience with implementation of various Software Solutions, which includes Java Script, HTML5, RESTful API, and Java
• Ability to understand Customer’s business requirements and come up with innovative Software Solution.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Positive attitude and Focus on Supporting Customers/ SEs/AMs and BPs.
• Basic knowledge of Telecommunications Technology will be added advantage.

Additional desired Skills

• Formal Certifications in Software Technology will be added Adv.
• Good understanding of Customer Use-cases and Business Needs.

• BE / B.Tech/MCA or equivalent.

Experience :       4-7 Yrs. (min. of 3-4 years with Software Implementation)


4 - 8 Years of Experience


Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Certifications

ACE certification or its equivalent
