Short Description

This prestigious technical job will have multiple roles within pre-sales that supports internal associates and business partners. When acting as a technical sales consulting engineer, this job will be responsible for responding to email / web questions as well as taking phone calls on complex product and design issues.  This job will have a "deep dive" into products & technology. Can speak about how solutions work together and the parts needed for interoperability. Responsible for setting the architectural direction of the hands-on competency labs. When acting as a solution design engineer, this job will free customer facing resources from responsibility for sales quoting & proposal related activities, and assigned to those who consistently display superior capabilities and who are recognized as leaders in the company. Thoroughly designs and assures company solutions, having the necessary technical and theoretical skills to take a lead role in developing technical solutions. Designs and defines system requirements for an integrated hardware/software system. Proficient in our competitor’s offerings and in the company’s advantages over the competition. Proficient in designing, and presenting complex multi-vendor cross-portfolio solutions configurations. Typically certified in their specific subject matter areas. The individual is adept at internal processes and knows how to maneuver within the company to assure that clients’ expectations are exceeded. May act as a mentor to new or less experienced sales engineers who seek mentorship opportunities. May act as a company spokesperson within the industry through their external participation at trade shows, consortiums and through other speaking/writing engagements. Leads internal projects for his/her team and for extended/virtual teams across the enterprise. Highly recognized for contributions to worldwide sales counterparts and the product house by participating in forums and special projects. Seven years of experience with company products is preferred.
