About The Opportunities

Manages the design and administration of various employee compensation and benefits programs including but not limited to salary administration, job evaluation, performance appraisal, merit and other salary increases, incentive plans, life, health, and disability insurance, pension, profit sharing, and related retirement programs. Manages the company's retention of competitive compensation and benefits in the market place. Work is completed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. Provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems.

About The Responsibilities

•The compensation manager is responsible for managing the compensation and benefit function for APAC.   The compensation manager plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation and benefit programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices.
•Serving as a consultant to HR providing responsive, thorough, and thoughtful guidance on compensation matters including but not limited to policies, procedures, the company`s compensation philosophy, Base pay planning, salary administration, market pricing/position/leveling, internal equity, job evaluation, job structure, bonus plans, MBO schemes and other aspects of compensation to ensure Avaya is able to effectively recruit and retain top talent.
•Partnering with HR managers in the preparation of compensation offers ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
•Supporting the overall planning and execution of the annual compensation cycle including HR Business Partner and manager training.
•Lead the design and development efforts for the local country health, risk, retirement and time off benefits
•Partner with the Director, Benefits and local HR management in the review process; develop and present business cases and proposals 
•Research benefits best practices through surveys, networking, and other sources of industry information for APA.
•Using competitive data, conduct analyses and recommend locally competitive and cost effective benefit packages to the Director of Benefits
•Work closely with international benefits brokers on all international benefits activities including annual renewals
•Provide expertise and support for local colleagues who work directly with Works Councils and country-required unions – sometimes direct interaction is required
•Manage select global programs including all aspects of vendor management, ongoing communications, escalation management and engagement with employees and local HR; monitor invoices for select global programs and to ensure accuracy and payment
•Develop benefit communications such as plan documents, plan changes, presentations and employee notices
•Evaluate vendor proposals and effectively negotiate with suppliers
•Provide oversight, evaluation and enhancement of our multinational pool program
•Provide guidance to all internal partners such as those performing local benefits delivery, regional compensation and benefits resources and corporate compensation and payroll
 

About The Requirements

•EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required with minimum of 5 years of experience.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
•Demonstrated project and program management skills along with attention to detail and accuracy
•Strong planning, initiative, and resourcefulness with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and quickly adapt to changes in direction
•Excellent listening, analytical & complex problem -solving skills
•Strong communication and customer service skills are required 
•Flexible and proactive problem-solver, adept at achieving results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment 
•Able to exercise independent judgment, with a certain degree of creativity and latitude
•Excel and PowerPoint should be a strength
•Exceptional analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail are required 
•Strong Project Management skills, ability to prioritize and produce results are critical for success in this role
 

Experience

7 - 10 Years of Experience

Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Certifications

CEBS or CCP preferred
