About the Role
Avaya is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Risk Assessment Analyst to join our Corporate Security team in Pune. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a wide range of security initiatives designed to protect our people, assets, and operations. You will serve as a critical bridge for security communications, drive risk mitigation strategies, and actively contribute to the evolution of Avaya’s global physical security program.
About the Responsibilities
- Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive business risk and vulnerability assessments across Avaya’s operations, identifying potential threats and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
- Security Communications & Alerting: Manage the timely dissemination of critical alerts and updates from Corporate Security to the broader Avaya workforce via Google Chat and other internal communication channels.
- Travel Security Program: Develop, maintain, and distribute up-to-date travel security guidance to ensure the safety of Avaya employees traveling globally.
- Create and publish travel security tips and recommendations
- Make sure travelers have emergency contact information (their direct manager and the Avaya Security Team)
- Physical Security Enhancement: Partner with the Corporate Security leadership team to help shape, refine, and support Avaya’s overall physical security program and operational standards.
- AMAG Symmetry: Manage a unified security management system designed by AMAG Technology to control physical access, manage identities, and monitor alarms.
- Exacq: Continuously monitoring live video feeds from multiple locations to identify suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or unauthorized access.
Other duties as assigned.
About You
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience working in corporate security, risk assessment, intelligence analysis, or a similar analytical role. Ex-Military experience would be a great add-on
- Strong understanding of physical security principles and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex security information into clear, actionable guidance for a general audience.
- Proficiency with modern workplace communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Google Chat).
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed global team.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Years of experience: 2+ years of experience + Military Exp preferred
- Shift flexibility: Weekend coverage (Saturdays might be inc) 8am to 10am (est)
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (Security or Risk Management Certifications).
- Experience in a global technology or telecommunications company.
- Former Military
