Avaya is looking for an Automation Developer / Engineer with varied and a solid experience on automation frameworks and automation in cloud environments, for it’s Contact Center Business Unit, which develops products and solutions for our Fortune 500 customers.

As a Consulting Engineer, you will be expected to design, develop/modify/build Automation frameworks that assist in automation of scenarios, customer use cases, infrastructure automation, and much more. An engineer in this role will typically bring his skills and art to the table in ensuring successful and rapid automation capabilities to ensure our products meet customer requirements and can stand up to the high quality bar that we have set for ourselves and our customers.

  • Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards.
  • Develop and execute software test plans. Write test standards and procedures and maintain documentation of test results and recommend corrective actions to provide quality guidance methods.
  • As a member of the technical team, develop quality standards and control methods to be utilized during testing and inspection to access product quality.
  • Work closely with developer / test engineers.
  • Responsible for assessing, proposing, and implementing changes that improve our testing strategy, automation framework, and team efficiency.
  • Participate in the risk analysis process and propose mitigation plans that will involve automation, performance/load testing to ensure that high-quality product is delivered to our customers.




•    5-10+ years of relevant experience 



Key Skills:

•    BDD / TDD, REST APIs, Bash/Shell Scripting, Cucumber Framework, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, SQL, CI/CD, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, Node JS
Required Skills:
•    Experience using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for automation and related functions 
•    Strong programming skills in REST APIs
•    Experience in BDD, TDD & related test-driven methodologies
•    Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
•    Well-versed with DevOps concepts and setting up build & release pipeline
•    Automation Framework Design, Dev and Enhancement skills, Rest API Automation Testing
•    Expertise in Virtualization and Containerization - Docker
•    Currently playing the role of automation SME
•    Worked across multiple tools, technologies, and frameworks
•    Worked in different types of Automation Testing- Web, API, and even Performance Testing
•    Hands-on experience in Cloud, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.
•    Thorough knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
•    Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and GIT is a huge plus.
•    Able to self-learn new tools and technologies
•    Good to have a background/exposure to Cloud telemetry – Monitoring, Observability tools (eg. Datadog or equivalent)
•    Knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBC), will be an additional asset
•    Possess a Solution mindset
•    Strong technical, problem solving, and analytical skills
•    Strong communication and presentation skills




•    This is a full-time role with the expectation that the person will be available in the office in accordance with the guidelines set by HR.

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Advance Degree preferred
