(IDaaS Architectural Lead)

About the Innovation Incubator Business

The Avaya Innovation Incubator is chartered with creating new, disruptive solutions in the market, such as the recently announced Avaya Mobile Experience. The Incubator will focus on mobility, security and artificial intelligence in particular, drawing on input from customers, partners, internal development and a future planned ecosystem to foster promising start-ups and entrepreneurs. Avaya’s Innovation Incubator is seeking the best and the brightest to help transform how the world connects. New recruits will be responsible for building and bringing innovation to market, in a customer-driven, high accountability, high trust environment.

Short Description

The IDaaS Architectural lead will have responsibility for providing architectural oversight for the development of Avaya’s Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS). IDaaS will become an integral part of Avaya Mobile Experience (AME). AME is Avaya’s next generation Mobile Services solution (internally known as APEX). IDaaS will initially be deployed as the authentication service for AME. At a future time, IDaaS will then be deployed as a more general identity service that can operate independently of AME.

• IDaaS Architectural Lead. The IDaaS architectural lead will provide architectural oversight for IDaaS during its design, implementation and handover to Operations teams. This individual will collaborate with teams that are internal to Avaya and the IDaaS partner. The architectural lead will facilitate the detailed technical analysis of any issues that arise during implementation/test and will propose remedial actions. This individual will work in a consultative capacity on new infrastructure initiatives that can potentially affect service scalability, availability and service performance.  The IDaaS architectural lead will recommend, design and support the deployment of new technology solutions or improvements that are scalable and “future-proof”.
• Avaya’s IDaaS Development Focus. The IDaaS functionality that will be developed by Avaya (rather than an IDaaS partner) includes enhancements to the AME application, AME web portal enhancements, functionality to integrate IDaaS with Avaya Contact Centers, and functionality for IDaaS-enabled Over-The-Top (OTT) clients.
