ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Managing Director Position with Avaya Day 1 Services organization. Day 1 is responsible for the successful implementation of our customers solutions whether they are On Premise, Cloud or Hybrid. This position is to lead our Enterprise Architecture team supporting our Cloud Deployments.

 

Looking for a proven leader with experience leading a team of highly technical thought leaders. Directs the planning and implementation of strategic global initiatives in addition to the guidance and mentoring of other team members in the successful support of their responsibilities. Integrates the delivery of client service, both internal and external, by multiple work groups to ensure that current and evolving client needs are met. Develops strategic business plans and goals for a large staff or functional unit. Identifies complex business needs and cutting edge solutions that require full integration of the company's strategies. Drive improvements to the pre-sales and post-sales service processes. Provides leadership for staff, work teams. and task forces in broad functional/process areas to solve complex and diverse issues. Work is performed without direction. Typically requires 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Lead and Manage a team of highly technical resources
  • Define/Refine/Develop process and methodology as well as best practices
  • Work Closely with cross organizational teams – to include Sales, Product, R&D
  • Manage Escalations
  • Drive future direction and evolution of team

EXPERIENCE
 

  • Proven Cloud delivery experience and leadership
  • Knowledge of current industry issues and trends, and experience with developing solutions that drive business impact and include technology enablement and competition.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Use resources across Avaya, partners, consultants, and the customer to drive success.
  • Executive Relationship Management & Presence. Achieving results in a fast-changing environment, through influence and communication at the most senior levels in an organization
  • Relationship Management. Demonstrated focus on building and handling key customer and Avaya relationships to help drive greater customer intimacy and business alignment.
  • Business and Financial Acumen. Knowledge, insight and understanding of business concepts, tools and processes for making sound decisions.
  • Strong P&L Management and Operational Excellence. Achieving Operational Excellence in service delivery execution and management of account level profitability.

REQUIREMENTS (Cont.)

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
 

  • 5- to 10 years of proven leadership experience in managing a technical team
  • Ability to work at all levels and understand strategic business issues
  • Ability to recognize and assess clients’ key business drivers and challenges and lead a team to architect and deliver a solution to meet those needs
  • Experience with designing and implementing Unified Communications and Contact Center solutions in a Cloud Environment
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced evolving environment
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to visualize, simplify and explain complex technical and business solutions

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 

  • Full time leadership position. Ideally located in the Eastern US but can be located anywhere in the US. Ability to work virtual.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or proven relevant experience
  • Telecommunications, Unified Communications or Contact Center degrees preferable
  • Relevant Industry Certifications
