About the Role

The MPaaS team (Media Platform as a Service) is looking for individuals who would like to learn and contribute to our large cloud media services solution. If you're as passionate as we are about making the MPaaS platform increasingly awesome for our customers, we'd love to chat with you! We're seeking highly talented, driven, and motivated software engineers with big ideas, who are also obsessed with delivering new, intuitive, engaging, and efficient media services to our customers.

About the Responsibilities

  • Cloud QA Team Lead – Plan, execute, and report on QA activities.  Help lead a team of QA testers, guiding them and helping them understand priorities and best practices.
  • Develop QA Processes and Procedures
  • Direct QA Team members
  • Identify Bugs and Issues
  • Manage Testing Schedules
  • Coordinate Bug Fixes with Development Teams
  • You will be a core member of the MPaaS platform. 
  • Participate in design, coding, reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and support
  • Collaborate in analyzing existing code and remediating both functional and performance issues in large scalable distributed systems 

 

About the Requirements

EXPERIENCE

2+ years professional experience in software development 
2+ years professional QA for large Cloud service and/or media service

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Smart, willing to share, and ready to learn. 
  • Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis).   
  • REST, SIP, SDP, MSML, or H.264 experience a big plus
  • Automation skills a big plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Fulltime position working in our Ottawa or Toronto office when it can be done safely. Until then, work from home.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
