Short Description

Directs, supervises and mentors channel field sales associates to achieve unit revenue, profitability, and expense objectives. Drives a culture of achievement; meets and exceeds regional quota by training and mentoring channel field sales on appropriate sales activities, new account prospecting, building strong Partner relationships, and leveraging the sales network. Maintains ownership of a group of key accounts, servicing and growing those accounts. Is aware of marketplace changes in the midmarket segment and adapts territory strategies accordingly. An experienced revenue generator with a proven track record of exceptional results in the midmarket space and motivating employees. Able to coach team on how to sell the full portfolio. Has the potential to create senior relationships with the largest Partners to build a trusted advisor status, creating value and influencing Avaya’s position with Partners. Coordinates and thoroughly reviews channel field sales strategies and account plans that segment the addressable market and align Partners in key target areas and addresses Partner gaps. Leveraging past experience, is able to assist channel field sales in key situations as a trusted advisor to Partner principals/owners and is influential in resolving problems and conflicts, as well as assisting with critical negotiations. Understands how to collaborate with Partners’ sales management, to guide and mentor Partner sales teams. Knows how to ensure that the region has the right talent to achieve goals. Knows how to recruit talent strategically, and is able to organize team with a plan for progressing and replacing sales talent. Understands how to update the fundamental skill sets of the team to address market drivers and meet ongoing business objectives. Knows how to onboard new sales talent and teach the Avaya way.
