Short Description

An acknowledged thought leader, internal and external to the company who identifies and meets technology goals within the context of the overall company strategy.  By partnering with key leaders across the business, including research leaders, establishes a balance between short term delivery and long term alignment for the company’s product development.  May have a specific focus on one or more of the following: Deep customer engagements and partnerships, resulting in trend analysis and strategic directions; development of technology forecasts that provide trend analysis and strategic implications; defining and driving alignment of strategic architecture initiatives;directs the creation, ongoing evolution, and operation of business focused internal standards that facilitate the delivery of customer valued common characteristics across provided solutions; leads the creation of external standards strategy and coordinates on-going cross organizational execution. In partnership with business leaders, defines goals and objectives for one or more projects for which the CTO Director is fully accountable for leadership of team and execution of deliverables. Directs a small team of very senior technical staff as well as leads multi-faceted cross-Avaya teams in support of corporate goals. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Identifies complex business needs and identifies opportunities for offering cutting edge solutions that require full integration of the company's strategies. Has a significant, sustained product development and delivery record.
