ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Alliance Sales Specialist will provide overall relationship management for specified third-party vendors, communicate goals, provide scorecard results, and create tools to increase revenue. He/she will work closely with Area Sales Leaders, Area Solution Consultant Managers, 3rd Party Alliance leaders, Implementation, Engineering, Marketing, and Installation and Maintenance teams to improve quality and maximize sales opportunities; Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance of sales teams; Handle customer escalations and resolution of complex customer issues; Execute action plans to position sales for maximum revenue retention and market penetration; Utilize all reports and tools to uncover opportunities and provide strategy to the sales teams; Understand Avaya product lines and differentiators; Identify training gaps, prepare & deliver training and analyze effectiveness; Coordinate and attend various events at trade shows, third-party vendor & Avaya office locations.  #LI-HK1

 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible for managing 3-5 alliance partners
•    Responsible for supporting 1-2 area sales leaders
•    Developing regional “go-to-market” programs and supporting product launches for specified third-party ecosystem
•    Drive customer facing co-sell engagements with the Avaya and 3rd party alliance sales teams
•    Work with Avaya Legal and Commercial Management on designing the third-party vendor contract and terms
•    Work with Channel partners to increase Avaya revenue of 3rd party products
•    Build collateral, training and marketing campaigns for the third-party portfolio.
•    Align Avaya and third-party sales & pre-sales teams
•    Perform all sales management activities which includes pipeline management, sales operations and regional sales leadership.
•    Work with 3rd Party Alliance leader to evaluate overall performance to improve individual third-party vendor strategies.
 

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

•    5+ years Sales and/or Alliances experience in Cloud space (Cloud experience is a must)
•    7+ years overall in enterprise technology and channel space
•    Experience in Solution Integration (SI) sales environment and/or partner ecosystem
 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

•    Exceptional communication, writing and organizational skills
•    Managing relationships, business development, pipeline, and processes
•    Experience with SaaS, hyperscalers, and selling cloud solutions
•    Understanding of Marketing and Business Development Initiatives
•    Works well independently and has a competency in completing duties in a timely and effective manner
•    Eager to grow and develop as a business professional
•    Flexible, proactive team-player attitude a must

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

•    Full-time and up to 30% travel
•    This is a sales-based role

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

•    Bachelor’s degree and MBA preferred or equivalent experience
