The VP of Solutions, Field and Channel Marketing will be the glue that binds our solutions strategy with our go-to-market strategy in order to drive success across sales and marketing and exceed our growth targets. They are passionate about technology solutions and are able to make a profound impact on driving productivity for our customers, unlocking process efficiencies for the operations teams responsible for supporting them, and ultimately delivering better outcomes for the communities our clients serve. The ideal candidate should know this space and all the players and our buyer mindset. They should have the foresight to see several steps down the road for how this market will evolve - especially as a result of COVID-19. They should be able to backup their insights with market evidence and use that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and enables our sales channels to have confidence and success. 
Reporting into the CMO, they will be an essential leader on the marketing team and collaborate directly and regularly with our product and engineering teams to ensure proper product/market fit for our solutions in a dynamic market. They will also be a critical partner with the sales teams to package and position our solutions in simple, compelling and convincing ways to differentiate us in the market. They will lead this function across all business segments partnering closely with the Sales and Executive Leaders. 
The position will be leading the multi-year marketing strategy and be responsible for the development and scaling of the operation to grow business for the new Avaya product portfolio’s, including Avaya OneCloudTM, Avaya Cloud Office, Avaya Spaces, Subscription, CCaaS, and the broader and deeper value proposition reflecting on 3rd party technologies and ecosystems.
This role will lead through cross-function collaboration with sales, product management and development, procurement, IT, and marketing operations teams at the global, regional and country levels

Responsibilities

-Assess the impact of consumer and market trends, geographic and category analysis’, review the company’s capabilities, develop competitive intelligence, and recommend strategies to win.
-Collaborate with the business, product, and sales leaders to ensure product investment decisions, positioning, selling, and servicing are closely aligned and customer-focused.
-Build strong partnership and vision for business growth for each line of business.
-Create multi-year market strategy to enable the growth of the business. Push the envelope with out-of-the-box programs and best-in class-marketing. Assess marketing efficiencies across programs and channels. Enabling integrated cross-channel marketing to optimize customer experience across the lifecycle journey from discovery, consideration, evaluation, buy, adoption and retention. 
-Work with other marketing leaders to support connected and collaborative budget management, priority planning, global territory and public facing needs.
-Establish, build out and continue to improve competitive intelligence initiatives. 
-Position Avaya as an undisputed leader in established and progressive markets. Bring to life the perception of Avaya as a SaaS applications and Services company and our story across all marketing touch points and be a change leader of the marketing team to drive a unified approach with our marketing strategy.
-Define the future of our channel marketing strategy to evolve based on new ways of working and our solutions strategy. Ensure the team structure develops to suppor the future of Avaya as a SaaS-based company.
-Ensure a completely synergistic approach to defining and messaging our solutions value with the Product Management team, collaborating closely on strategic roadmaps.

Requirements

-15+ years of marketing experience in unified communications or a technology related field. 

-10+ years of people management experience 

-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience required and MBA desirable.

-Understanding transformations 

-Proven success in defining marketing strategies in support of business and corporate objectives, including the development, execution, and measurement of attribution marketing programs.

-Proven track record in managing outside vendors, keeping vendors on track and within budget 

-Attention to detail—accurate data gathering, insightful analysis, ability to manage logistics and tactical details with flawless execution

-Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, teamwork and project management skills required

-Proven track record in working effectively with cross functional groups, sales organizations, and operations.

-Innovator with the ability to influence management at all levels (internally and externally).
