Avaya is looking for a talented & motivated corp tax mgr to work as part of the Avaya tax team and support the wider finance and business teams.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, demonstrate sound judgment and have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with people at all levels inside and outside Avaya.

  • Preparation and review of US, State and Intl Tax returns/forms; Preparation of qrtly estimated income tax payments and extensions for federal & state taxes
  • Assistance with the calculation of the Company’s annual and quarterly global effective tax rate, cash tax forecast, deferred taxes and taxes payable in accordance with ASC 740 including APB 23, FIN 48, 163(j)
  • Prepare, distribute, and monitor income tax packages and information requests for worldwide subsidiaries; maintain Corptax; including set-up, rollover, adjustments, trial balance import
  • Participation and support of business led planning initiatives, including merger & acquisition; tax research, modeling/analysis & keeping current on tax
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA and/or MST; Big 4 experience a plus.
  • 3-6+ years relevant tax experience, in public accounting or industry
  • Experience in accounting for income taxes under ASC 740
  • Solid Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills; Corptax, HFM, SAP, Blackline, Alteryx
