About the Opportunity

This role provides external reporting and technical accounting expertise to ensure that the Company is in compliance with SEC rules and US GAAP.  The individual will be responsible for external reporting and providing technical accounting guidance on strategic business transactions to ensure that they are accounted for appropriately under US GAAP. #LI-HK1

About the Responsibilities

Assist in the Company’s technical accounting, policies and specialized accounting functions, ensuring the highest degree of quality in the Company’s financial statements.

Identify and assess technical accounting issues in complex business transaction.

Work closely with various business leaders including Treasury, HR, Legal, M&A, FP&A, etc. to provide guidance on the accounting ramifications of strategic transactions.

Maintain the Company’s written accounting policies and provide guidance throughout the organization on the application of such policies.

Stay current on changes to accounting regulations.  Summarize new and proposed accounting pronouncements and their impact to the Company for senior management.

Support the Company’s external reporting function, ensuring that the financial statements and disclosures are in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.

Some specific areas of accounting responsibilities include equity compensation, goodwill impairment testing, executive compensation programs, fair value measurements, derivatives, EPS, leases, acquisitions, etc.

About the Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.

CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.

4- to 5  years of experience with external reporting and technical accounting responsibilities

In-depth knowledge of key technical accounting areas such as equity compensation, goodwill impairment testing, fair value measurements, derivatives, EPS, leases, acquisitions, etc.

Highly collaborative.
