ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya is seeking a Manager of FP&A. This role will provide value-added analysis and insight to Senior Executives to drive decision making. The candidate will be looked at as an integral member of the team and serve as a key business partner to the Global Customer Support organization. As an FP&A Manager you will be expected to own both recurring and ad hoc processes end to end, have a strong grasp of our financials and be able to clearly communicate them across the company, and use data to answer questions around the health of the business.  There is the possibility of a hybrid schedule for this role. 

  • Assist in completion of annual budgeting and monthly outlook processes.
  • Report P&L performance versus all relevant benchmarks and provide pertinent commentary.
  • Analyze financial data to determine key drivers of performance, its impact on the business, and present actionable insights to drive profitable top line growth.
  • Triangulate qualitative and quantitative data to validate assumptions and outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Global Customer Support, Accounting, Finance, R&D, IT, and Sales to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and understanding of results.
  • Prepare business cases for capital expenditures and corporate investments.
  • Improve processes to increase efficiency across the broader Finance organization.

ABOUT YOU

•    Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required. MBA preferred.
•    3-8 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a corporate environment.
•    Experience supporting a business unit or company P&L (bookings, revenue, expense, margin).
•    Experience manipulating large data sets for ad hoc analysis.
•    Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, actionable way to a non-financial audience.
•    Ability to work well in a collaborative environment across functional groups at different levels.
•    Ability to manage workload with a sense of urgency and adapt real-time to reprioritization of needs.
•    Data inspired with strong process and analytical skills to lead fact-based decision making.
•    Computer skills in MS office especially Excel.  Adaptive, Essbase, SAP, and SFDC experience preferred.
 

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this opportunity is from $99,200 to $133,900 + performance-related bonus + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
