ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya is an industry leader in CPaaS (Communication Platform as Service) across the small, medium and large enterprise sectors, deployed in Cloud. Avaya’s CPaaS development team is looking for a motivated and experienced scrum master to join our global team and support the delivery of CPaaS features, releases and solutions. You’ll play a critical role on the product leadership team supporting the software development teams and processes across the Avaya suite of applications.

As scrum master you will partner with business and technology teams to drive continuous improvement in cross-functional development processes and will lead the team of software developers with accountability for strategy,standards, and delivery execution. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the planning of work for scrum teams including effective planning and utilization of scrum team capacity.
  • Guide and provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Answer team member questions and oversee team member work for quality and guideline compliance.
  • Identify and work with senior management to resolve conflicts and remove impediments; or guide the team to remove impediments themselves.
  • Generate and share comprehensive and detailed reports about scrum and project performance, objectives and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to enable an effective delivery process.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working as Scrum Master in large enterprise teams

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Previous experience working as a VoIP network engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP Protocols.
  • Knowledge of hardware systems including servers, memory modules, processors, and peripherals.
  • Detailed knowledge of network security systems and software.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Familiarity with WAN and LAN systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Full time
  • Remote before office opens
  • In person when office opens at least 3 days a week

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field.

7 - 10 Years of Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Advance Degree preferred
