About the Responsibilities

The position involves working with Avaya’s new cloud based contact center solution (CCaaS). The Software Engineer will work closely with the Architectural team, to design, develop and deliver custom Data analytical, and AI solutions in an agile manor.

Avaya’s customer including large retailers, telcos, banks, and airlines. You will have the opportunity to be part of a nimble, highly impactful team and help drive the adoption of AI in Contact Centers around the world.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Engineer, with a background in Data analytics and AI. We require a person with passion for developing AI driven experiences with in the Contact Centre environment to join our UK office, contributing to our wider international based team.

About the Requirements

  • A solid background in Software Engineering, with experience across multiple environments
  • An understanding of the latest AI technologies and how they can be applied;
  • Strong understanding of Data Analytics and been able to create models based on data;
  • Extensive background in designing, building and deploying SaaS integrated solutions;
  • Have experience in developing large scale, Multi-Tenant enterprise application using platform services like azure websites, Azure APIs, Azure Postgres / hyperscale, Azure Service Bus, notification hubs, event hubs, stream analytics, Document Db, application insights, Azure Apps, Azure Vault etc;
  • Designs, deploys, and supports best in class software development processes and tools.
  • May have a specific focus in one or more of the following:
    • Develops tasks including module design and coding, debugging, and documentation of application programs and systems level programming;
    • conducts systems programming and systems support activities;
    • develops coding and design tasks to ensure software meets specified performance, scalability and reliability requirements;
    • defines model interfaces/formats for performance simulation;
    • defines the module specific requirements for software development projects;
    • designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network components supporting communication implementation activities;
    • provides support to customer and account teams to understand customer requirements and responds to customer problems.
  • Provides technical solutions to a diverse range of difficult problems.
  • Have an understanding of security implications, authentication and single sign on across cloud and on premise solutions;
  • Providing best practices around provisioning production and non-production environments on Azure to optimize the usage;
  • Strong understanding of the cloud architecture patterns and solution design principles;
  • Understanding of performance tuning of cloud based applications for best performance;
  • Experience in defining and implementing Hybrid scenarios with workloads shared across on premise and Microsoft Azure, application Integration between cloud and on premise environments.



  • Presentation skills, to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable way.

2 - 3 Years experience or Engineer One equivalent


Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Master degree or equivalent experience
