About the Opportunity

Avaya is expanding our investment in this important sector of the market. This is a key position and the successful candidate will be focused on leading and maximizing booking and revenues for Avaya’s market leading portfolio of products and services.  Key areas of focus will be:

 

 

  • Continued expansion and growth of the French market.
  • Management of the French team, Avaya Partners, Avaya Alliance Partners and customers.
  • The RSL acts as the figure head for France across all routes to market (direct and channel).
  • The RSL has the signature responsibility for all the local sales contracts Avaya enters into and sits on the local board of directors with responsibility for all local employees.
  • In addition, the RSL is the local media interface on behalf of Avaya.
  • Fully responsible for Business planning and forecasting, Sales team leadership, performance management and development.
  • Develops, manages and owns the GTM strategy and model for Avaya in France.  A key focus remains on managing the customer install base, as well as launching the new cloud offerings for UCaaS, CCaaS and DaaS.
Responsibilities
  • Directs, supervises and mentors field sales associates to achieve objectives
  • Drives a culture of achievement
  • Ownership of a group of key accounts
  • Coaches team on how to sell the full portfolio of Avaya solutions
  • Selectively creates senior partner relationships with the largest customers
  • Coordinates and thoroughly reviews field sales strategies and account plans
  • Aligns partners in key target areas and addresses partner gaps
  • Ensures field sales reps are actively recruiting and onboarding new partners
  • Assists field sales in key situations and is highly influential in resolving problems and conflicts
  • Collaborates with partners sales management to guide and mentor partner sales teams
  • Responsible for ensuring that the region has the right talent to achieve goals
  • Is the interface for the business with Employee Representative Bodies
  • Responsible for the communication of the company’s positions with all local business units
  • Take necessary decisions to ensure an efficient management locally in accordance with the applicable SoAs and respective managers
  • Support the implementation of strategic corporate projects locally
  • Designated prime interface with third parties: press, public institutions etc
Requirements
  • 10yrs + overall sales experience
  • 5yrs+’ experience in leadership roles in IT/Telecommunication
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Deep knowledge of the French market
  • Personal engagement in large-scale projects
  • Personal contacts with management of key customers and leading IT companies
  • Highly motivated in developing a career in Avaya
  • Proven references on successful accomplishments from previous jobs
  • Crisis-management skills
  • Winning and positive attitude
  • Ability to travel
Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
