This role is fully remote within the United States or Canada.  Applicants must already be located in the U.S. or Canada and roles are not eligible for sponsorship. 

The Software Senior Engineer will be part of an organization responsible for key Avaya cloud product offers already in the market as well as upcoming programs. The individual will join scrum teams to be a hands-on contributor with focus on designing, developing and continually improving the administration of new and existing applications. frequently self-initiated.





  • Design and develop management services for public and private cloud solutions
  • Evaluate cutting edge cloud technologies and frameworks, with a drive towards adoption by creating proof-of-concepts
  • Participate in design, coding, reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and support; be a hands-on scrum team member
  • Collaborate to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to build scalable and performant distributed applications



  • Demonstrable experience with general contact center administration
  • Demonstrable experience with source code management using git
  • Demonstrable experience with continuous integration and delivery
  • Demonstrable experience with microservices design and implementation
  • Demonstrable experience with event driven and API-first application development
  • Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms
  • Experience with REST web services design and implementation is beneficial



  • Programming skills in Java or equivalent
  • Programming skills in web-based browser administration screens
  • Strong development and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals
  • Astute, willing to share and collaborate, always ready to learn
  • Exhibit flexibility and an ability to think creatively in a way that identifies solutions to problems

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering, computer science, or related field


(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $117,000.00 + bonus + benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
