ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya IT plays a critical role in Avaya growth by supporting key businesses such as Marketing and Sales using best in class technologies. We are looking for a senior web application specialist. The ideal candidate will support the backbone of all the web application functions, and design and quality control ensuring the stability and high-performance expected for the company’s critical front-door domains to the world and its partners. To be successful, the candidate will need to have core expertise in CMS technologies, digital transformation, omni channel content distribution, and webservice optimization and maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will be the primary configuration administrator of key marketing tools related to the overall portfolio. #LI-HK1

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior web application specialist, you will be responsible for…

•    Overall web application portfolio architecture and design.
•    Content management system solutioning for omni-channel distribution. Including but not limited to the Oracle Content Management Suite (OWCSS, OWCC)
•    Governing the web application quality and best practice implementations for all related environments; Dev, Staging and Production
•    Maintaining a web application “Center of Excellence” documentation such as “Confluence” and coordinating infrastructure roadmap upgrades with multiple teams related to the marketing portfolio utilizing tools such as JIRA.
•    Advising the business on new and existing tools infrastructure integrations and best practices for SEO, analytics, performance, social sharing, and third-party evaluations.
•    Facilitate maintenance objectives and goals related to actions such as subdomain creation, SSL certificate renewals, firewall configurations, cross domain security policies, coordination of server patching and related maintenance.
•    Adminstration of key marketing tools related to the portfolio.
•    Point of contact for cross-functional IT teams.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

•    Proven experience in CMS omni-channel architecture solutioning and best practices.
•    Strong knowledge in overall digital transformation initiatives and related migration activities from one platform to another. 
•    Demonstrable experience in designing and maintaining backend web application architecture.
•    Strong knowledge in front-end related technologies regarding performance optimizations and benchmark reporting.
•    Experience with Cloud computing and API services.
•    Leading an agile project related initiative from planning to completion.

•    Preferred proficiency in…
•    Oracle Content Management Suite (OWCSS, OWCC)
•    Weblogic and Apache application administration
•    Server load-balancing
•    Database administration
•    Akamai content distribution
•    Content Security Policy implementation and best practices
•    SSL Certification renewal
•    Business consulting and communication skills.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

•    Full time regular work schedule. Will be times that will need to assist with deployments or escalations in the PM or on weekends. 

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an IT related field.
•    Preferred Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
•    Professional certification/s are preferred but not required.
