ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be Software Engineer for Avaya Digital Suite of products.  You will solve technical problems in the team effort to participate in design, code, test and debug new complex software or significant enhancements to existing software.  The product is building state of art Microservices platform to solve the digital aspects of Contact Center as a Service.  You will part of rewriting the history of Avaya CCaaS market leadership in providing the cutting edge as-a-service solution to a complex problem. 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES     
•    Experience in software engineering, including designing and coding applications
•    Ability to understand requirements and translate to high quality code.
•    Keen interest in problem solving
•    Understand Clean Code principles, this means you don't just write code, you organize it well, and you can quickly pick up and follow principles and best practices.
•    Display sense of ownership and product understanding
•    Ability to be rapidly effective with Java, JavaScript (Node.js and React) 
•    Conversant with Agile methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. 
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS     

•    Ability to troubleshoot & debug issues in code.
•    Relevant Industry Software Development experience is a plus
•    Software Projects that algin to the skills and competencies is a huge advantage

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

•    Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics (Graduate Degree always is a plus)
•    Experience in NodeJS
•    An Agile mindset with experience working in Agile environment
•    A spirit of collaboration and transparent communication
•    A natural curiosity for new scripting languages, frameworks and technologies

COMPENSATION

The salary for this opportunity is $90,662 + performance-related bonus + benefits
