About the Role
Avaya is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our AXP Unified Channels team, an innovative team that merges voice and digital channels. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions to support our diverse range of products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of Avaya's cloud infrastructure with our customer environments.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-based solutions that align with Avaya's product and service offerings.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations teams to understand and translate business requirements into cloud architecture designs.
- Architect, deploy and manage scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation and integration of cloud solutions.
- Research and analyze emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and improve Avaya's cloud architecture.
- Perform capacity planning and optimization to ensure cost-effective and efficient cloud resource utilization.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain appropriate security controls and compliance measures within the cloud infrastructure.
- Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and advancements, and provide recommendations on their adoption.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (8 years+) as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with designing and implementing public-facing APIs and SDKs.
- Experience with software development in one or more object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of public, private, and hybrid cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design patterns, principles, and best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure components within cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A master's degree is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $120,800 - $209,990 + bonus + benefits.
