Short Description

Software Developer – C++ with SIP/VOIP

Position Summary
This role is responsible for all aspects of developing and managing enterprise level C++ and Java based applications, integrating with the VOIP, CTI Services for the AWFOS product suite which is used extensively by contact centers industry for interaction capture, tracking agent performances and meeting the other compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Write and maintain high-performance, scalable, and maintainable code
• Analyze, propose and develop solutions for our product
• Communicate effectively with other teams inside and outside engineering
• Lead projects, mentor engineers and perform Individual contributor activities
• Has expertise of extensive debugging and trouble shooting skills
• Has knowledge of JIRA, Coverity, Crucible and other development support tools
• Demonstrates and applies a knowledge and understanding of development tools as a senior developer
• Demonstrates and applies a knowledge and understanding of C++, Java, shell and java script
• Explains technical concepts effectively, taking audience into account
• Communicates effectively with Technical and Business Systems Analysts
• Consistently creates and executes unit test plans appropriate to the task
• Understands and comprehends design requirements as specified

Requirements: Educational, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Must have a bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• Must have 4 to 8 years of experience in programming and technical software products, preferably in service-based, backend (non-GUI) component development in C, C++, Java languages.
• Skills
o Languages : C++, C, Java
o Concepts (mandatory to have) : Multi-threading, Socket-programming, TCP-IP protocol handling
o IDEs : Visual Studio, Eclipse
o Operating Systems : Windows Client & Server OS, Linux (Good to have)
o Tools & SDKs : MFC, Boost, Unit testing tools (like CUnit), Profiling & Debugger tools (GProf, WinDbg, etc)
o Database Systems : MSSQL
• VOIP Technologies (Mandatory)
o Must have minimum 2 years experience with VOIP
o Understanding of VOIP protocols such as SIP, RTP/SRTP, RTCP
o Working knowledge of PBX and ACD products from Avaya, Cisco , etc.
• Excellent communication/mentoring skills.
• This individual will be a key member in the engineering team
• Must have superior problem solving skills
• Experience with full lifecycle development projects. Experience in product development is an added advantage
• Ability to develop, document, and communicate architectures/ designs using UML and other notations for large scale full lifecycle projects.
• Familiarity with emerging architectural solutions and technologies.
