As part of the UK Sales Team, the Territory Account Manager has responsibility for all sales activity and pipeline development within their respective region or customer segment specifically on Public Cloud Collaboration solutions. They will focus on engaging existing Avaya accounts to migrate our large incumbent install base into the cloud as well as being highly proactive in profiling, prospecting and winning new logo customer opportunities to drive sales growth, market share and brand awareness. Working collaboratively with internal ‘virtual teams’ and Avaya’s partner community is essential to success with excellent interpersonal, relationship building and presentation skills a must.

About the Responsibilities

  • Targeting business within geographic territory so a blend of Public and Private Sector experience is desirable 
  • Proactively engages with existing Avaya customers to ensure ongoing relationships are maintained, developed and we consistently drive innovation and business transformation. Will be measured around migrating the whole installed base within their territory into Avaya's public cloud collaboration solutions
  • Operates with ‘hunter’ mentality to identify, profile and develop new logo accounts
  • Manage and develop the growth of accounts (existing and new logo targets) demonstrating high sales activity and customer facetime
  • Position the full value of Avaya’s market leading customer experience and digital cloud collaboration solutions with the ability to articulate how Avaya differentiate in the marketplace with focus on key industries
  • Always ensure customer centric attitude, acting as Avaya brand ambassador to become trusted advisor within customer
  • Drive own weekly demand-generation activities directly with end customers together with marketing and side by side with the partner community to impact territory, win new business and growth presence/market share
  • Strategic alignment, engagement and account planning with key master agents and partners to best drive and deliver sales growth within territory, working collaboratively with the wider virtual teams. Will also be measured in ensuring the incremental contribution from the ecosystem
  • Demonstrate experience hitting target, managing complex sales cycles and ensuring customer and partner satisfaction
  • Develop a wide network in every customer, with our key partners and within Avaya

About the Requirements

  • Solid demonstrable experience within technology sales with minimum 4 years selling public cloud solutions in the ICT market related to Cloud Collaboration solutions like Contact Center and Unified Communications
  • Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate key messaging internally and externally
  • Innovative/strategic thinker
  • Experience of selling to both Public and Private Sector organisations 
  • Adaptable to change, experience of working in a dynamic fast paced environment with ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Eager and willing to learn and develop
  • Proficiency with IT systems including sales tools such as SalesForce.com
  • Bachelor or university degree, or equivalent experience
