About The Opportunity
What could you experience and get involved with?
As a Graduate Cloud Engineer at Avaya, you will be joining part of an organization responsible for key SaaS Avaya offers already in the market as well as upcoming programs. You’ll work on real-time projects, joining Scrum teams, and be a hands-on contributor with focus on designing, developing, and continually improving new and existing applications.
You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself across a variety of activities, including:
Design and develop public and private cloud solutions
Evaluate cutting edge Cloud technologies, drive towards adoption, create proofs-of-concept and frameworks
Participate in the design, code, review, test, document, deploy, and support of our solutions
Collaborate in analyzing existing code and remediating both functional and performance issues in large scalable distributed systems
Define, review, and consult on cloud deployment architecture in GCP, Azure and AWS
Be a hands-on scrum team member for multiple Avaya programs

About You
What can you bring?
We’re looking for curious, self-motivated people with an appetite to learn, willing to share and collaborate, driving results and value, building robust and scalable solutions. You’ll have great communication skills and approach problem-solving creatively, applying your knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
We’d also love to see your experience of:
Source code management tools such as GIT
Unix/Linux administration and Shell Scripting
Messaging/Event driven application development
Cloud Ops / DevOps
And ideally, you’ll have good familiarity of:
Azure, AWS, GCP, and private or hybrid-cloud deployments
Experience developing applications for Linux and VMware run time environments
Microservices and Containerization tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
ReST Web Services experience
Demonstrable Development and Debugging skills
Finally, you’ll have successfully attained a relevant computer science or engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent qualification prior to joining us.
