About the Team

We are currently extending our Enterprise Clients Engineering team (Clients branded: Spaces, Workplaces & Workspaces) to accelerate the launch of our Next Generation of Web Clients as a Service assessable to remote users directly from the cloud. This project will also drive new innovative UX across all clients and is an exciting opportunity for visual user experience orientated people to get in at the start of the creative process and influence our end product. As Product Owner initially focused on Avaya Multimedia Contact Centres, you will be an integral leader of this high-business-value enterprise. You’ll be responsible for decisions that influence and shape the products and drive the Avaya Clients road map.


Avaya’s Clients Engineering team is looking for motivated and experienced Product Owners or equivalent role to join our globally distributed team and help us develop highly efficient, UX pleasing, flexible, tailored client experiences. You’ll partner with business stakeholders, Product Managers as well as directly with Customers to understand, analyse, refine, prioritise and communicate business needs which ensure that the UX & development teams fully understand the scope, objectives and requirements they are executing on.

About the Role

In your QA role you will drive complete Software Testing Lifecycle from feature requirement scoping, helping POs define acceptance criteria, creation of automation test cases, solution user testing and reporting QA metrics. You will be accountable for setting the standards and delivery schedule of the platform/suite of applications. Good communication, focus on details, enthusiasm, high standards and dedication to represent the end user are all personal characteristics highly valued in the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be working with our Product, Engineering, and Dev Ops teams to test, deploy, and manage the QA of our cloud-based platform and suite of Web clients
  • Set QA strategy, work with other leaders on defining the scope and acceptance criteria for new features
  • Drive the execution of solution test cases and own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor development QA performance
  • Guide the automation test developers as they build out automated solution tests
  • Build a test-driven engineering culture across scrum teams that drives improvements in QA
The Ideal Candidate
  • You are innovative, decisive, and product-driven; a quick learner, self-starter, and confident presenter
  • You are an experienced in managing or testing software clients to a high quality
  • You have excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate details and collaborate effectively
  • You have high energy and a clear passion for the role, products and Customers you represent
  • You have experience with scrum and other Agile development methodologies
  • You are self-driven and take on responsibility; When issues arise, you are able to proactively roll up your sleeves, pull people together and tackle them
  • You are well versed with Internet and cloud infrastructure technologies
  • You have worked on a continuous integration cloud-based platform
  • You have experience of defect tracking and test management tools like Jira
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Advance Degree preferred
