About the Opportunity
This role is for a Finance/Systems Analyst within the Global Controllership Team. Avaya is transitioning to new business models and is also working through a finance and digital transformation process. This role will focus on the SAP RAR accounting processes, system controls and sox controls. This is a Full-time position which will allow the successful candidate to develop, learn new skills and lead change in a dynamic environment.
About the Responsibilities
- Support the adjustments to arrangements that go through the SAP RAR ledger with a particular focus on maintenance related adjustments.
- Work closely with the revenue data governance team to address new scenarios or issues.
- Work with the broader finance team to drive benefits from the RAR implementation
- Support the preparation of the RAR related system related account reconciliations
- Ensure SOX related RAR application controls are performed
- Ensure documentation relating to RAR is maintained
- Be a key part of the month end close process for entities across the organisation
- Work closely with IT, customer operations and finance automation team on improvements/changes to RAR.
- Monitor and resolve RAR technical issues with IT team and customer operations
- Preparation and presentation of training material
- Internal & External Audit support for multiple countries
- Support Digital Transformation in the Revenue Area
- Ad-hoc support or reporting requests from Senior Management
About You
- +2 years Relevant Experience
- Finance or Data Analytical accreditation desired. (Commerce, Business, Accounting or IT)
- Understanding of US GAAP essential with a focus on ASC606
- Experience of using an ERP system preferably SAP
- Strong experience in Excel required / Comfortable in dealing with large volumes of data/Strong Data Analytical skills
- Automation experience desirable such as Alteryx or power query
- Project Management experience would be beneficial
- Experience testing applications would be beneficial
- Experience working with cross functional teams spread geographically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with a diverse group.
