About the Opportunity

The Avaya Professional Services (APS) Sales and Delivery organizations will be brought together under the leadership of this new function of the APS Regional Lead with approximately 200 employees in the region. The advertised position has responsibility for sales and delivery of project services in EU Region and comprises three functions: Program & Project Management, Technical Delivery and Sales. The APS Regional Lead works closely with the theater leadership team (Sales, Service, Finance) actively supporting the region's goals.

  • Responsible of APS business operation for EU Region. In charge of APS revenue and booking performance of the Region.
  • Manage performance of Regional Leads (UKI, GEBG, WES) and supporting functions.
  • Responsible for the full APS sales cycle to generate innovative solutions, to manage solution design, to ensure competitive quotes and closing together with Avaya Sales
  • Ensures close and goal-oriented cooperation with APS Business Consultants and - Advanced Solution Architects as well as software engineers of the EP & T division in order to generate, plan and implement new projects
  • Plan business development activities in coordination with regional sales managers, ensuring the right priority and choice of topics to achieve high sales productivity
  • Responsibility for achieving the financial goals: bookings, sales and costs
  • Responsibility for the weekly APS forecast for revenue and bookings as well as other KPIs in accordance with the defined operational standards
  • Participation in the definition and implementation of the regional and international APS strategy
  • Responsibility for delivery of integrated software and hardware solutions including services and solution components from external companies
  • Develops professional relationships with key customers, suppliers, service delivery and solution partners to ensure long-term, successful partnerships
  • Provides support and / or escalations with different customer issues and participates in key negotiations with key customers
  • Supports the training / coaching at all levels of the team
  • Balance the need to ensure project profitability with the urgency to meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and timely execution
  • Performs a transformation to modernize the organization, its processes and build its knowledge and skills to position and implement highly innovative solutions
  • Execute the work with minimal instructions and review by the management
  • Up to 70% travel required
  • Substantial experience in technical and sales roles of a technology company
  • Extensive knowledge of Avaya solutions and products
  • Understanding project implementation
  • Strong skills for customer negotiation, presentation and maneuvering of large multinational companies
  • High leadership skills and ability to motivate professional services teams
  • Strong spoken and written English and German
  • Knowledge about successful sales processes and practices
  • Strong skills in working with Sales and Services with the ability to achieve goals, even when managers and employees work virtually
  • In addition to English and German, further language skills are desirable
  • Experience in leading a P&L
  • PMP certificate highly desirable
  • Bachelor or Masters' degree with a business and / or technology focus or comparable education
