About the Opportunity

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering value-add professional services to our clients in highly complex multi-vendor, function and site customer programs. The role works directly with our clients as trusted advisor leading them to successfully implement innovative solutions to achieve their business technology objectives.

 

Activities & Accountabilities:

 

  • Partners with the customer to formulate and implement enterprise-wide business, organization and information communications technology strategies. Involved with and supported by the relevant technical resources from the customer and from Avaya, at each step in the process of designing and delivering integrated business and information communications solutions to support the enterprise's accomplishment of business goals
  • Thought leader within the company for the strategic application of communications and systems integration
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of highly complex multi-vendor, multi- function and multi-site customer programs. Archiving outstanding business results such as customer satisfaction
  • Leading the creation of technical concepts to fulfill customer requirements in cooperation with development, logistics, service and quality management
  • Leading development departments, sales, purchasing, logistics and quality management to ensure the achievement of project goals (scope, time and budget)
  • Analyses business processes in an organization and makes recommendations to improve their effectiveness in supporting the customer's strategic business goals.
  • This role is responsible for developing the disciplines and the business results of the engagements. Anticipates and identifies complex business needs and recommends solutions to complex problems.
  • Negotiating contracts with 3rd Parties and implementation of Quality controls
  • Executive Level communication of project progress in decision-making Steering committees and day to day communication
  • Independent structure, organization and control of program structures and responsibility for up to 80 virtual team members
  • Creation and development of highly complex, multi-phase project plans (MS Project)
  • Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management
About the Individual

This position requires travel across Germany to client site for 70-80% of the time on average. The successful candidate can be based remotely with fluent German and English.

 

Required Skills:

  • Solid program management experience within technology industry ideally working with Avaya and/or Cloud solutions at architecture, design, configuration and implementation level
  • Certification in Program Management (PMI, IPMA)
  • Strong experience in Agile programs
  • Ideally strong UC and CC experience at solution level spanning multiple Avaya or similar solutions and products
  • Ability to support multiple workstreams at any given time
  • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels including CxO.
  • Strong English and German language ability essential
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with discipline in a virtual office environment as well as comfortable working in a client’s environment
  • Result oriented with calm leadership skills
  • Highly self-organized with ability to orchestrate multiple projects of varying size
  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in computer science, communications, engineering or similar
