Senior Marketing Communications Manager

Avaya, a leader in business communications solutions for SMBs through Fortune 500, is looking for a communications pro to join a dynamic content marketing and integrated campaigns team. The ideal candidate is proactive, flexible, and a true team player. The role will work closely with global marketing and communications teams, reporting to the head of Marketing Communications – (integrated campaign planning and content marketing). The role entails developing integrated campaign plans, program and project briefs, and developing compelling content for the broader marketing communications functions, including thought leadership, social media, email lead nurture programs, direct mail, advertising, conferences, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Requires 8+ years of relevant experience in tech/telecomm/SaaS /Cloud
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, or related field
  • Strategic thinker and  storyteller with excellent content-generation and editing skills
  • Proven track record of generating awareness, engagement, leads, opportunities and revenues with integrated marketing programs
  • Experience developing strategy, key deliverables and campaigns around customer success, product launches, events and thought leadership themes
  • Ability to work effectively with extended campaign delivery and marketing operations teams to launch programs, monitor and analyze results, optimize program performance, and maximize ROI
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other groups, including but not limited to, product/solutions marketing, digital marketing, field marketing, corporate communications, social media and events
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively with meticulous attention to detail and excellent follow through
  • Experience working with communications teams in international markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management
  • “Can do” attitude

     The role entails writing a broad range of compelling content for integrated marketing campaigns and components, including, but not limited to:

  • Email nurture campaigns that are very targeted and response-oriented with clear calls to action
  • Content assets including e-books, white papers, solutions briefs, customer case studies, video scripts, digital ads, blogs.
  • Direct mail including letters, self-mailers and postcards
  • Engaging Web site copy

Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
